  • Will Kennel Connection run on my computer?

    There are multiple versions of Kennel Connection. Kennel Connection Desktop is a Windows operating system-based software, installed locally with your own database stored on your computer. Windows 10 or above is required for installation and yes, it can be installed on Windows Server OS. Kennel Connection Cloud is a fully hosted cloud solution and as long as you have an Internet connection and a web browser, you’re good to go!

  • Do I need an Internet Connection to use Kennel Connection?

    Technically, no. However, to take advantage of all the new time saving and revenue generating features, like (Unlimited Two-Way SMS messaging Text-to-Pay, Live Access, Online Reservations and more), and receive software updates, you’ll need a stable Internet connection.

  • Can I use Kennel Connection on a Mac?

    Absolutely! Our cloud solutions are compatible with Mac, making it easy for you to manage pet care operations seamlessly. If you have limited internet and are interested in using our Hybrid or Desktop solutions, please reach out to our sales team for guidance on compatibility and setup options.   • Why do you offer two versions of Kennel Connection? I see Kennel Connection Desktop and KC-Cloud.

    While cloud-based software is the way of today and the future, giving you easy access to your software and data from anywhere at any time, many still prefer a solid local desktop software that they control and keep their own database locally. Believe it or not, there are still many locations that have spotty or slower or no Internet at all. Locations constantly affected by storms, metal buildings that can’t run Wi-Fi and too hard to run cable and more. In cases like this, why use any other desktop software than KC which has proven its reliability over the past 30 years. No issues with spotty Internet? Don’t want to install and update your own software or worry about database backups? Our KC-Cloud, has you covered.

  • Can you convert my data from another software if I move over and how long does it take?

    Yes, we can absolutely convert data from most, if not all other software and we do it better than anyone. If we have completed a conversion for the software previously, conversions can take just a short time. If you’re using an uncommon software that we have not yet converted from, it’s just a little bit longer as we have a few more steps to go through. Don’t worry, our Client Support Specialists will help you with everything!

  • Do I need to have Kennel Connection Desktop software open in order to access the hybrid Live Access website?

    You definitely do not have to have the KC software open. In fact, you need to be closing your KC software on your computers every day at the end of business. However, if you’re using the hybrid Live Access and Client Portal system, the computer that this is running FROM, at your location must remain powered on and online in order for you and your clients to access it. Our Client Support Specialists can help you set this up, no problem.

  • Do you have a list of software you have already done conversions for?

  • Do I really need your Two-Way SMS messaging if Kennel Connection can send emails?

    Good question. The answer is YES! Emails are great. Emails have been around for ages now. However, the most popular form of communication is now text messaging. Due to the ever-increasing amount of spam, emails are now constantly getting flagged and filtered to your junk folders or not delivered at all AND while email accounts are on most people’s phones, fact is, they’re not checked nearly as often as their text messages. Put a stop to missed appointments by sending SMS reminders, let your clients know when their pet is fresh and clean and ready to go home with “Groom completed” messages, send Text-To-Pay, payment links for fast payment including tips and don’t forget to send out that link to get your positive review as well!

  • Does Kennel Connection update on its own so I don’t have to call support?

    Yes and No. If you’re using KC-Cloud, updates are done here on our side, automatically and all you need to do is run your business! If you’re using the Kennel Connection Desktop application where it’s installed to your local computer, updates are not automatic, and you’ll need to contact a Support Specialist to assist you. Don’t worry, they’re quick and won’t take up much of your time.

  • Do you offer a live training session for my entire staff?

    Our Client Support Specialists are here for you. We pride ourselves in our VIP support and training. Need a training call? Need two or more? Sure, we got you. Whether it’s your entire staff on a webinar, 1:1 training, or just calling, chatting, or emailing in to ask questions after initial training, we’re here and we do it!   • Is there a contract to use Kennel Connection?

    Here at Software Connection, we don’t believe in contracts. We already know that once you’re onboard, you’re here to stay. From all the amazing features, simplicity, VIP Client Support and more, there’s simply no need for a contract.

  • I’ve had Kennel Connection Desktop for years and only have a support plan. Why do I need to keep this plan if I only use support once per year?
